The first steps in competition

A young, but very promising product, two of them: Irish and Venery Dew-Drop start their first competition season under the saddle of two talented young amazons who have given us the pleasure to make their voices heard.

Interview with the Dew-Drop Stud Farm in l’Equimag
Interview with the Dew-Drop Stud Farm in l’Equimag The September 2009 edition of l’Equimag, the Belgian magazine for equestrian news, devotes a report to the Open Competition for Ponies ... the complete article can be found on p 48
Excerpt: ..... Among the breeders Olivier Debilde is part of the regular visitors of the Open Competition for Ponies. “I have been participating since 2008 because it is the best way to appreciate sport ponies. The Open Competition for Ponies also offers the option to compare custom products with those of other stud farms,” explains the owner of the Dew-Drop Stud Farm, who has been breeding already for 10 years. “I present products every two years. My main goal is the sport, more so than the model or the gait, which are more subjective. A dream? For example, the qualification of a breeding pony for a European Championship ..."
With two distinct tribal lines - one of the obstacle gait around the Connemara and one of dressage with a German origin - Olivier Debilde has assigned himself with a maximum benefits. “We have ten births per year, and all our products are now entered in the sBs, a more open stud-book that allows hybrids that are not possible for others”
At Ghlin the Dew-Drop stud farm won a stunning victory with Boreal for the model and the gait of the 2-year olds. An appointment in 2010 for a sequel to this adventure
Foals 2009
Among the foals 2009 we would like to present to you:
In dressage: Isabelle, a very nice filly (see photo) of a very good family, since she is the daughter of the stallion FS Don't Worry that is the No. 1 stallion in Germany for its production. The second is the mother of this filly and the sister of Konrad: European Pony Dressage Champion.
In CSO: a very promising gray stallion, son of the Irish Dew-Drop (Leam Finnigan = father of Dexter Leam Pondi). His mother is a daughter of Machno Carwyn (double European Champion Pony Jumping) and is also a maternal sister of Milford de Grangues, winner of the Pony Grand Prix and finalist in the European Championship.

Belgian Championship for 3 year olds: Anthem Dew-Drop achieves the best assessment
Small in stature but with a great talent, Anthem Dew-Drop ends 1st in the Belgian Championship for 3 year olds before the best horses of his generation.
During the weekend of 15 August 2009 no less than 50 horses came from all over Belgium to Gesves for assessment by an international jury (France, Belgium and Germany) to attain the much coveted national title of Belgian Champion in the 3-year olds.
Among them Anthem Dew-Drop (Cicero z x Constance de la Warnave) achieved the best evaluation in the 3-year olds with a historic score of no less than 84%, he thus ends as the 1st of the assessment.
His only disadvantage that is a big quality for us: is having the stick size of a pony and thus according to the regulations is not entitled to the honour and to the official title of Champion of Belgium. Anthem received much praise, particularly by M. Luc Henry -stud Hero- .
It is not every day that an international jury assesses a pony between horses objectively, unanimously and without a priori, we want to emphasize this, and thank them for it.
Open Competition for Ponies 2009: Boreal Dew-Drop in the finals of the 2-year olds
Results of the Open Ponies 2009 finals: Model and gait 2 year olds: Boréal Dew-Drop : 1st Model and gait 3 year olds: Asheen Dew-Drop : 2nd
A beautiful performance of the Dew-Drop fillies during the 2009 edition of the Open Competition for Ponies . After having won the 2 qualification rounds, Boréal Dew-Drop (Rexar du Houssoit x Voltaire) true to herself, won the final.
Her stable companion Asheen Dew-Drop (Dornik B x Pina Colada = sister on mother's side of FS Do not Worry) finished 2nd in the finals of the 3-year olds, she has previously already won the qualification round of Corroy-le-Chateau.
It is worth noting that Boréal Dew Drop is the sister of Anthem Dew-Drop on the mother’s side that achieved the best final assessment in the Belgian Championship for 3 year olds (see the news above).
